Mary C. (Pellegrino) Costanza

Mary C. (Pellegrino) Costanza, 104, of South Essex Drive, Westerly, passed away on Sunday evening, January 22, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Santo J. Costanza and her daughter, Catherine M. Dunn. She is survived by her son-in-law, Donald R. Dunn of Westerly, her grandchildren, Carrie Dunn of Westerly and Fredrick Dunn of Chelmsford, MA and her brother, Robert Pellegrino of Westerly.

Mrs. Costanza was born in Westerly on July 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Margaret (Turano) Pellegrino. She was the co-owner and operator of Sam’s Snack Bar of Misquamicut. Mary was a very hard worker who loved to travel. She was an avid member of the church community, Legion of Mary, and faithfully prayed the rosary daily.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High Street, Westerly. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. Calling hours will take place on Thursday from 4-6 pm at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
