Robert J. Martin

Robert J. Martin, 80, of West Vine Street, Pawcatuck, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie B. (Boudreau) Martin of Westerly, his daughter, Delinda Tucker, wife of Gary of Westerly, his daughter, Karen A. Lima, wife of Mark of Westerly, two grandchildren, Dr. Brittney Whitford, wife of Dr. Alex Drach of Cincinnati, OH and Alisha Tucker of Westerly, and one great-grandchild, Ruby Drach of Cincinnati, OH. Robert was pre-deceased by his first wife, Madeline (Jessop) Martin and his brother, Joseph L. Martin III.

Mr. Martin was born in Westerly on July 30, 1943, the son of the late Joseph L. and Josephine (Christina) Martin Jr. He was a graduate of Stonington High School and Harvard H. Ellis Technical School of Danielson, CT and became a draftsman at Electric Boat. Robert was an active member of the Westerly and Punta Gorda Elks and enjoyed being with his family, his Florida home and his 1940 Ford Coupe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
