Biography
Evelyn K. (Knowles) Papa, 83, of Avice Street, Narragansett, passed away on Friday morning, February 5, 2010 at the Clipper Home of Westerly. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph F. Papa in 1991. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph K. and Allison Papa of Narragansett.
Mrs. Papa was born in South Kingstown on September 25, 1926, the daughter of the late Kenneth H. and Freda M. (Ritzau) Knowles. For many years, Evelyn worked in the Narragansett Town Clerk's Office. She was an animal lover who enjoyed working with crafts and loved going to the beach where she would often do some crabbing.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery Chapel, Exeter. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
