Doreen L. (Comrie) Billman, 58, of Broad Street, Pawcatuck, passed away on Monday morning, August 12, 2019 after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle accident. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley E. Billman of Norwich, her son, Brett W. Billman of Westerly, five grandchildren, her ex-husband, Wayne Billman of Westerly, her significant other, Edward Herbert, and plethora of other family members.
Ms. Billman was born in Stonington on October 27, 1960, the daughter of the late Raymond and Jessie F. (Fleming) Comrie. She was a paralegal for many years at the law office of Atty. George Comolli. Doreen was an amazing woman who would give a stranger the shirt off her back. Her grandchildren were her entire world and she will truly be missed by everyone she came in contact with.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Main Street, Stonington. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Burial will be private. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
There will be a reception held at the Portuguese Holy Ghost Society, 26 Main Street, Stonington, CT 06378 following the mass.
