Obituary

Archie T. Sherman, 81, of Newbury Drive, Westerly, passed away on Monday morning, January 31, 2022, at the Westerly Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Cofone) Sherman of Westerly, his daughter, Anita (Sherman) Hughes and his stepson, Paul R. Smith of Westerly.

Mr. Sherman was born in San Diego, CA on July 24, 1940, the son of the late Leroy and Marian (Hackett) Sherman. He was a United States Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Archie was an electrician for Local Union #90.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Calling hours will be held at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly on Wednesday from 5-7 pm.
