David Caron Sr. Obituary

David Albert Caron Sr. 71, of Westerly, RI (formerly South Windsor, CT), passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, surrounded by his devoted wife, Kimberly (Holland) and family.

David met Kimberly in 1980, and they shared a loving 37-year marriage. They were blessed with two children, David Caron Jr. and Lindsey (Caron) Willard who were his pride and joy. From an early age, David had a passion for the automotive industry. He began his career with a single tow truck, ultimately founding Caron Auto Works, Caron Auto Body, and Caron Towing and Transport, among other Caron ventures. His dedication and hard work culminated in the sale of his company to a Fortune 500 automotive transport firm, allowing him more time to cherish with family and pursue his interest in commercial real estate.

Beyond his professional achievements, David loved sailing, golfing, spending time with his family and friends, spending time at the shores of Westerly, RI, and in traveling; especially to Eleuthera, Bahamas.

Known affectionately as Big Dave and Papa, he is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly (Holland); son David Albert Caron Jr. of London, England; daughter Lindsey Caron Willard and her husband, Andrew Willard, of Glastonbury, CT; and two cherished grandchildren, Madison Holland Willard and Andrew Lawrence Willard Jr. David is also survived by his brother Richard Caron and wife Jean Horn Caron; brother Robert Caron; nephew Michael Caron; brother-in-law Gary Mulvey; niece Melissa Mulvey; mother-in-law Marjorie Holland; brother-in-law Walter Bud Holland III; and many dear friends.

David was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Barbara Caron; sister Cindy Mulvey; and father-in-law Walter Bud Holland Jr.

To honor David’s wishes, the funeral services/burial will be private. David’s celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest donations to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly, RI 02891.
