Helen A. (Papke) Marsh

Helen A. (Papke) Marsh, 90, of 22 Pond Drive, North Stonington, CT passed away on Friday afternoon, December 30, 2022 at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital of New London, CT. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles Marsh, her son William Marsh, her sister Dorothy Banky of Mystic, CT and her brother William Papke of Vero Beach, Fla. Helen is survived by her son, David C. Marsh of Pawcatuck, CT, her daughter, Marie Murphy of North Stonington, CT, her daughter Bonnie Clark of Pawcatuck, her brother Richard Papke of Lakeland, Fla, her brother John Papke of Wallingford, CT, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and twelve nephews and nieces.

Helen was born in Meriden, CT on December 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Fougere) Papke. She devoted her life to her family with special attention given to the children. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, crafts and oil painting.

A Christian Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT. Burial will be private. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly, RI.
