John C. Celestino

John C. Celestino, 72, of Canal Street, Westerly, passed away on August 15, 2022, from complications of kidney disease at the Westerly Hospital. He was born on February 21, 1950, the son of the late Pasquale J. and Virginia C. (Cataldo) Celestino. John spent his early years in Hope Valley and was a resident of Westerly for the last 45 years.

Mr. Celestino is survived by a number of cousins including Robert Liguori of Westerly, Elizabeth (Celestino) Desourdis of Olympia, WA and Frank (Chip) Celestino of Winston-Salem, NC.

John enjoyed watching all sports and old sitcoms on TV and he enjoyed his independence on his daily outings. In spite of his many medical challenges, he was a kind soul who treated everyone with respect.

A graveside service with entombment will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 9:30 am at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly, RI. Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
