Margaret C. Keil, passed away at home February 27, 2021 surrounded by family and friends after a 17-month battle fighting pancreatic cancer. Margaret, age 77, was born in Westerly, RI, the daughter of Joseph E. Misisco and Rose Marie (Pellegrino) Misisco. She is survived by her husband Juergen G. Keil, daughters Kristen M. Ullrich of Westerly, Erika C Carter and son in law Anson Carter of Atlanta, and grandchildren Ava and Keil Ullrich and Mikayla and Malia Carter. She also leaves behind her sister Mary Louise King and family, her brother Joseph Pellegrino and sister-in-law Maude (Croft) Pellegrino and family as well as an aunt and uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Margaret graduated from Westerly High School in 1961 and spent most of her career as an administrative secretary for senior leadership at the predecessor organizations of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. This is where she and Juergen first met. They were married for 52 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with family and friends. Her favorite place was in the kitchen. She was passionate about cooking and loved to host her gourmet meals. She and Juergen enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High Street, Westerly. Interment will take place at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly.
