Michael J. Conca Jr., 64, of High Street, Westerly passed away on March 18, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie Pardini. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Rose (Paliotti) Conca, Sr. of Cranston.
Michael grew up in Silver Lake, Providence, where he later moved to Cranston. Michael had a profound love of music. He was an avid drummer, and always carried a harmonica in his pocket. Michael was always able to break out in song, and at a young age he made a habit of using his utensils to drum at the dinner table.
Michael was a bartender at Gemma’s Bar for over 20 years. He was also a dockworker and Master Fish Cutter from New Bedford, MA to Stonington, CT where he ended his career at Gambardella’s Seafood.
Michael accumulated many lifelong friends throughout his life. He had a larger-than-life personality and would light up any room he entered with his smile, hugs and fun-loving attitude.
Besides his loving wife, Michael leaves his sister, Gina Perrotti and her husband Mark Perrotti, his late sister Linda Carnevale, his stepchildren Richard Buzon, Jr. and James Buzon, his two beloved granddaughters Summer and Mia Buzon, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved puggle Bailey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm Street, Westerly on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11:00 am. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Calling hours will take place before the Mass from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly. Burial will be private. Please omit flowers.
