Paul Louis Palmer, 65, of Pawcatuck, CT passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 9, 2022, at the Westerly Hospital after an extended illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Ginger Gibbons Palmer. He leaves behind his siblings Irene Kritzer of Kensington, CT, Mary Shorette (Louie) of Montville, CT, William (Roberta) of Westerly, RI, his sisters in-law Wendy (Wright) of North Stonington, CT and Brenda (Mosena) of Iowa and Ginger’s children, Vicki Hall (Ed), Michele Swanson (John), Michael Conley and Shannon Conley who knew and loved him.
Mr. Palmer was predeceased by his parents Thomas W. and C. Virginia (Murray) Palmer, two brothers Earl Palmer of North Stonington, CT, Thomas Palmer of Iowa, a little sister Maybelle, nephew Scott Shorette and his brother-in-law John Kritzer.
Paul was born in Westerly, RI in 1956. He graduated from Westerly High School, and Springfield College. He served as an Athletic Trainer at Belmont Hill Academy, and later was employed at Foxwoods and Holdridge's Home Center. Paul was also a very talented woodworker and an avid sports fan. Paul and Ginger loved their pets Katy, Mysti, and JJ. They enjoyed going whale watching, visiting friends in NH and the Candle Factory in Massachusetts. Paul was a kind and loving person and will be missed every day.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 5-7 pm at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly, RI 02891. Burial will be private.
