Leo A. Sullivan, 88, of Clark Street, Westerly, passed away on Saturday afternoon, November 24, 2018 at the Westerly Hospital. He is survived by his son, John L. Sullivan (Loriann) of Westerly, his son, Michael Sullivan (Stacey) of Westerly, his daughter, Sharon A. Fish (James) of Pawcatuck, eight grandchildren, William Jenkins (Corrie), Christopher Jenkins (Krisi), Stephanie Anderson (Kyle), Mallory Fish, Christopher Sullivan (Mary), Hailey Fish, Caitlyn Sullivan and Erin Sullivan, six great-grandchildren, Devon, Grace, Jill, Colton, Hazel and Finnley, three sisters, Barbara Salisbury, Margaret Conlon and Shirley Connors and his long time companion, Beverly Kores.

Mr. Sullivan was born in Providence on December 24, 1929, the son of the late John F. and Vera (Mason) Sullivan. Technical Sargeant Sullivan was a radar operator in Battery “D”, 69th AAA Gun Battalion for the United States Army in the Korean War. He became a machinist supervisor for about 30 years at Electric Boat. After retiring from Electric Boat, he worked as a security officer at Foxwoods Casino. He later worked as a salesman at Rutman’s furniture, finally retiring at age 85. Leo was a member of the Rocky Hill American Legion Post #0200 and a former Westerly School Committee member.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:30 am at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery Columbarium Committal Center, Exeter, RI. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
